The Farndale Christmas Carole

By David McGillivray and Walter Zerlin, Jr. Directed by Michael Pirkey.

Show-Only: November 27 and 28

Dinner Theatre and Show-Only: December 4, 5, 11, 12, 18 and 19

In a festive mood, the ladies of Britain's Farndale Avenue mount another assault on the classics with their stage version of A Christmas Carol. They enthusiastically portray a dizzy array of characters from the Dickensian favorite (and a few which aren't), engineer some novel audience participation while bravely contending with an intrusive PA system and (a real Farndale first) wrap their vocal cords and feet around two original, show stopping songs. "Another classic dramatic massacre that enthralls." Independent. "Hilarious." Guardian.

True West by Sam Shepherd

By Sam Shepherd. Directed by Kathy Smithson.

Show Only: February 19 and 20

Dinner Theatre and Show Only: February 26, 27, March 5, 6, 12, 13

This American classic explores alternatives that might spring from the demented terrain of the California landscape. Sons of a desert dwelling alcoholic and a suburban wanderer clash over a film script. Austin, the achiever, is working on a script he has sold to producer Sal Kimmer when Lee, a demented petty thief, drops in. He pitches his own idea for a movie to Kimmer, who then wants Austin to junk his bleak, modern love story and write Lee's trashy Western tale. "It's clear, funny, naturalistic. It's also opaque, terrifying, surrealistic. If that sounds contradictory, you're on to one aspect of Shepard's winning genius; the ability to make you think you're watching one thing while at the same time he's presenting another." S.F. Chronicle.

By Steven Dietz. Directed by Nicole Villacres.

Show-Only: May 14 and 15

Dinner Theatre and Show-Only: May 21, 22, 28 and 29, and June 4 and 5

The world's greatest detective has seemingly reached the end of his remarkable career when a case presents itself that is too tempting to ignore: The King of Bohemia is desperate to retrieve a stolen, scandalous photograph, and the woman at the heart of this crime is the famous opera singer, Irene Adler. With his trusted companion, Doctor Watson, at his side, Sherlock Holmes pursues the case and in doing so, marches right into the lair of his longtime adversary, the malevolent Professor Moriarty. There will be danger, intrigue, wit, humor and surprise. "The game is afoot, Watson—and it is a dangerous one!"
